Patrick Emmanuel Session, 22, who has no fixed address, attempted to resist arrest on Saturday, May 6, when he was caught trespassing at a site he had previously been instructed to stay out of, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

The incident played out shortly after 9 a.m. on Saturday morning at the Best Western on Balls Ford Road in Manassas.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Session, who had previously trespassed at the hotel.

While speaking with Session on Saturday morning, drug paraphernalia was located on him and he was initially detained and placed in a police cruiser, where he began "forcibly kicking inside the vehicle," according to police.

Session was then taken out of the cruiser by police, at which point he continued to resist and attempted to spit on an officer before ultimately was re-secured and taken to an area hospital for complaints of pain.

No officers reported any injuries.

Session was released from the hospital, taken to the Prince William County Adult Detention Center and charged with:

  • Attempted assault and battery on a law enforcement officer;
  • Obstruction of justice;
  • Trespassing;
  • Destruction of property;
  • Possession of a schedule I or II narcotic.

His initial court date is pending and bond was set at $2,500.
